Frequently asked.
Our soaps
Does your soap contain palm oil?
No. We use unrefined butters and cold-pressed oils.
Do your soaps lather?
Yes, our soaps lather like every other soap.
What is the expiry date for your soaps?
Our soaps can be used within 6 months, as we don’t use any kind of preservatives. They can be used for up to a year, but there may be a change in the colour of the soap, since our soaps are naturally coloured.
How long does a soap last?
A 100 gram soap lasts approximately 20 to 25 baths (not days) for an average adult.
Why do handmade soaps seem to melt or disappear faster?
Handmade bars typically dissolve faster than commercial store-bought bars for two main reasons: high glycerin content, and a lack of synthetic hardeners.
Natural deodorant & lip balm
Why does my natural deodorant or lip balm feel grainy?
The grainy texture is completely normal. It happens because of temperature changes during shipping or storage. Natural ingredients like shea butter, kokum butter, mango butter and coconut oil melt easily. When they cool down slowly, they form tiny, harmless ingredient crystals that feel grainy.
Are they still safe to use?
Yes, they are 100% safe and effective. The performance of your deodorant and the moisturising power of your lip balm do not change.
How do I make them smooth again?
You can easily fix the texture at home with a quick temperature reset:
- Melt: Place the tightly closed container in a warm room, a sunny window, or a bowl of warm water until completely melted.
- Mix: Give the container a gentle shake or stir.
- Chill: Place it in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes. Rapid cooling locks the ingredients back together perfectly smooth.
How should I store them?
Keep both products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. During peak summer months, keeping them in a cool drawer or the fridge will prevent melting.
